Castaway Diva is a romantic comedy that unfolds the tale of a young woman who accidentally washes ashore on a deserted island while en route to Seoul for a life-changing singing audition. The talented duo of Director Oh Choong Hwan and writer Park Hye Ryun, known for their successful collaborations on While You Were Sleeping and Start-Up, are reuniting to bring this fresh drama to life.
In the recently unveiled teaser, we witness Seo Mok Ha's resilience as she constructs a massive SOS sign using rocks on a remote island. With unwavering determination, she introduces herself, saying, "I’m Seo Mok Ha of the deserted island," providing a glimpse into her remarkable journey of solitary survival on this isolated island for a remarkable 15 years.
In the midst of her lonely and unforgiving surroundings, Seo Mok Ha clings to a steadfast dream. She boldly declares I’ve seen myself in a far distant future," harbouring aspirations of one day gracing the stage despite her current desolation.
Apart from Park Eun Bin, who takes on the pivotal role of Seo Mok Ha, a young woman rescued from a deserted island after 15 long years, the drama boasts a stellar ensemble cast that includes Chae Jong Hyeop, Cha Hak Yeon, Kim Hyo Jin, and Kim Joo Heon.
Castaway Diva is set to air on October 28.
