Canyon County DMV asks to keep Friday visits to essential business only due to staffing
CALDWELL, Idaho (CBS2) — The Canyon County Assessor's Office is warning folks that there could be long lines at the motor vehicle and title registration office on Friday.
The office will be shorthanded with staff.
“We are going to be down quite a few staff members tomorrow, which will, unfortunately, lead to longer than usual lines and extended wait times,” said Brian Stender, assessor. “That is why we are encouraging residents who don’t have essential business to please consider visiting the office on another day when we can more efficiently serve our customers.”
Individuals with appointments already scheduled for Friday will still be served. However, walk-in customers should consider visiting the office at a later date. Residents are also encouraged to utilize the online services available through the Idaho Transportation Department’s website to renew their registration.
The Canyon County Motor Vehicle Title and Registration Office is located at 6107 Graye Lane in Caldwell. Hours of operation are 7:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. on M, T, Th, F, and 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Wednesdays.
